Just wanted to post this picture from the VBCPS Teacher of the Year dinner!  That's me with my husband Todd and Mr. Furlich.  I am so happy and proud to represent ROFO!  Go art!!!!

Welcome back!  I am looking forward to a super artmaking school year!  Art clubs start this week and new class projects are rolling along smashingly.  Be on the lookout for school-wide exhibits, the on-line art site Artsonia will be showcasing our work, along with artshows, ODC application packets, and much MUCH more on this blog!

Art News 2010

The art clubs are working hard producing holiday artwork for a December art show at Pembroke Mall. We are also tying blankets for our partner-in-education, Our Lady of Perpetual Help nursing home. Finished blankets will be presented to patients at Christmas. We are all very excited about this community service opportunity for our students!



Be sure to check out the art exhibit "Big Draw" at Pembroke Mall in November. Art teachers from Virginia Beach will have their drawings on display. My drawing will be there too!



We really enjoyed learning printmaking and painting from our student teacher Mrs. Fellio. What a wonderful inspiration she was to us all!
